JeffersonAI Terms of Service
JeffersonAI is a subscription-based artificial intelligence–powered communication platform operated by Civility, LLC, dba Civility Media, a Texas limited liability company ("Provider"). By checking the box next to these Terms of Use and clicking the "Purchase" button, you ("User") agree to be legally bound by this Agreement with Provider, including all automatic renewal terms and conditions.
For good and valuable consideration as outlined on the sales page, User elects to purchase a monthly subscription to JeffersonAI (the "Subscription") at the then-current listed price. In exchange, Provider agrees to provide access to the Subscription as outlined below.
Subscription Outline
User understands and agrees that he or she is purchasing a monthly subscription to JeffersonAI, an AI-powered communication coaching experience that provides general resources and guidance intended to support improved communication skills and navigation of difficult conversations.
Payment and Payment Plans
User understands that the Subscription is purchased with a monthly payment in advance. User will be billed an initial charge at the current monthly subscription rate and will thereafter be charged automatically in accordance with the Auto-Renewal Terms below unless properly canceled by User.
User agrees to pay all fees electronically through Provider's website or a designated third-party payment processor selected by Provider.
If User fails to make timely payments or if payment cannot be processed, Provider may suspend or terminate access to the Subscription if payment is not received within seven (7) days of the due date. Amounts previously paid are non-refundable, except where required by law.
Selection of Annual Payment
If User selects the annual payment option at checkout, User understands that the payment is in consideration for annual access to JeffersonAI and includes all features of the Subscription.
Annual subscriptions are governed by these Terms of Use, including the Auto-Renewal provisions defined in this Agreement.
Auto-Renewal Agreement
User understands and agrees that access to JeffersonAI is billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on selection at checkout) and will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled prior to renewal.
User may cancel at any time through the account dashboard or by contacting customer support at hello@jeffersonfisher.com. Cancellation requests must be submitted at least 24 hours prior to the next scheduled billing date to avoid charges for the subsequent billing period.
If a cancellation request is submitted less than 24 hours before the next scheduled billing date, the renewal charge may process and cancellation will take effect at the end of the then-current billing period.
User will retain access through the end of the paid billing period. No partial refunds or prorations are provided, except where required by law.
Technology
Provider is not responsible for any specific technology User may require to access or use the Subscription. Inability to access JeffersonAI due to User-side technology issues does not entitle User to a refund and does not relieve User of payment obligations unless the Subscription is properly canceled.
Legal and Professional Disclaimer – Not Legal, Medical, or Professional Advice
The Subscription is provided for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing within JeffersonAI constitutes legal advice, medical advice, therapy, counseling, or professional services of any kind, nor does it create an attorney-client, therapist-patient, or other professional relationship.
Provider is not retained as a licensed attorney, therapist, medical professional, or other regulated professional. Users are encouraged to consult qualified professionals as appropriate.
JeffersonAI is not designed to provide mental health treatment, therapy, or crisis intervention. If User believes they may benefit from professional mental health, medical, or legal services, Provider strongly encourages seeking assistance from a qualified professional.
Provider is not responsible for User's mental health, emotional state, or personal circumstances, whether arising before, during, or after use of JeffersonAI.
Voluntary Participation
User acknowledges that participation in the Subscription is voluntary and that User is solely responsible for any outcomes or results. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Provider is not liable for any injury, loss, harm, or adverse outcome arising from use of JeffersonAI.
Disclaimer / No Guarantees / AI Use
JeffersonAI utilizes artificial intelligence technology to generate responses, insights, and communication guidance. User understands and agrees that AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or inappropriate for a specific situation; outputs are generated automatically and do not involve human review or oversight; User is solely responsible for evaluating and determining whether to rely on any output; and JeffersonAI does not provide legal, medical, mental health, or professional advice.
User agrees not to rely on JeffersonAI outputs for decisions involving legal matters, employment actions, medical or mental health decisions, or any situation requiring professional judgment. Use of JeffersonAI is at User's sole risk.
All services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, dissatisfaction with JeffersonAI or failure to achieve desired outcomes does not give rise to a legal claim.
User understands that Provider is separate from Jefferson Fisher personally and professionally in his role as an attorney.
Hold Harmless
To the fullest extent permitted by law, User agrees to hold harmless Provider from any claims arising from personal, professional, relational, emotional, legal, employment-related, or financial consequences allegedly resulting from User's use of JeffersonAI, including disputes with third parties. Provider does not control how AI-generated outputs are used or relied upon and assumes no responsibility for resulting consequences.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property associated with JeffersonAI remains the exclusive property of Provider. No ownership rights are transferred. User receives only a limited, personal, non-transferable license to access the Subscription for personal use.
Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, User agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Provider and its affiliates from claims arising out of User's use of JeffersonAI, violation of these Terms, or reliance on AI-generated outputs.
Dispute Resolution
User agrees to attempt good-faith resolution of any dispute by contacting Provider prior to initiating a chargeback or formal dispute. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting Provider may result in suspension or termination of access.
Unresolved disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in Harris County, Texas, or virtually at Provider's election. Arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis only. Class actions are waived to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
Amendments
Provider may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of JeffersonAI constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
